For bridges, building facades and offshore plattforms, AAK inspects and maintains concrete surfaces, protecting the underlying steel structures from corrosion. We apply ‘boom’ tests and other relevant tests to detect flaws in the concrete structure.
High pressure water chiseling
We have specialized in high pressure water chiseling as an alternative to manual, pneumatic or electric chiseling.
Via a hydraulicly controlled robotic frame, with a water pressure of 2.000 bars, we prepare the concrete surface and the volume surrounding the steel reinforcement, for repair. This may also be combined with sand blasting, either free blasting where possible, or vacuum blasting. Addition of new mortar is executed via a dry mortar mixing gun. The process is finalized by adding primer and epoxy as top layer.
All work is executed on basis of access technique. AAK’s personnel are certified within categories U1,U2 & R1,R2.
